I woke up this morning, got dressed, then walked around Chicago for a while with my Dad until we realized we were going the wrong way and needed to get a cab. We hailed a cab and got down to 952 W. Newport and went inside. There was no one there except two employees. The store is tiny, not at all what I thought it would be. For almost an hour, I looked around at everything there, reading Pete's book, trying on jackets. The employees were AMAZINGLY nice, and they were so friendly and helpful. One of the employees and I talked about bands for like half an hour, and she told me she manages a band called Walrus. They sound awesome, and you should definitely check them out. So after a while some more families came in, and I heard one lady say to the employee "Yeah, we're from Vegas, we just came in to see our son play a show," and I turned around and the employee was like "Yeah, she's going," and she pointed to me and she was like, "Hey, her son is the keyboardist from the Cab!" And I was fucking floored. I was like "Alex Marshall?" And the lady looked all proud and she was like "Yeah, that's him!" and I was like "Wow! That's really great, nice to meet you!" So then I went on browsing and stuff. I bought the Bug Eye hoody, the clandestine tunic, Girls Best Friend necklace, a special shirt for my sister, two collectors dolls called "Finders Keepers", and then I designed my own hoodie at the Bat Bar! It's gonna look SO cool. It's a black pullover, and theres text going across the pocket of the hoody, then the hood is lined in silver bat skulls, and theres a silver circle of bats on the left side of it. At the back of each shoulder is a red bat skull, which makes it look like wings. It's the coolest hoodie you've ever seen in your life, and I can't wait to get it. After three hours, I decided it was time to go, so I gt my things and promised I'd message them on Myspace. So then me and my Dad went to Medusa's Circle, the best place for makeup and vintage clothing. The store had only one month left, so everything was at a really reduced price. I got a really cool teeshirt that I'm gonna make into a dress and sell on my website. Check it out later. Then we got another cab and drove back to our hotel where I blogged this, ate vegan spaghetti and meatballs and my Dad is helping me set up my new email for my website.

So my Dad and I got to the airport, and there was a cute guy that was talking to me, but he was considerably older than me, so my Dad fun of me and I left the cute guy alone. We got on the plane and we flew for 2 and a half hours and then we got to O'Hare! Then we set our stuff down and walked around for a while, until deciding on a vegan restaurant for dinner. We were SO hot, but the people in the restaurant were nice enough to give us a table with no reservation. I got vegan spaghetti and meatballs and a side of vegan mac and cheese to go. When I got done eating, I got a piece of carrot cake! That was delicious. So pretty much I'm stuffed, and I'm gonna go take a shower soon. I'm going to Clandestine Industries tomorrow, so that'll be pretty zen. :]]

So my Clandestine hoodie came and OHH SHIT it's amazing. It's so soft and fluffity. But on a sadder, more scary note, I almost got grounded from going to Warped Tour... My friend Jordan lives like four houses away from me, and I brought over my PS2 and a whole bunch of games, but then Jordan's friend Joe had to go take care of his dogs, so we walked to Joe's house, which was like twenty minutes away. We all hung out at his house for a few hours, and watched Bruce Almighty. It was pretty dark then, so I asked my dad if we could get a ride home at 10:40 from Starbucks. My Dad said yes, but we underestimated the time it took to get there, so we were late, and I had to use Jordan's phone to call my Dad to come get me. My dad hadn't really met them yet, so he was angry at me for being irresponsible. We got in the car and he just turned to me and said, "Yeah, I as pretty sure I wasn't gonna let you go to Warped Tour," and I freaked OUT. Like oh shit. I've never been grounded before and HOLY SHIT imagine not being able to go... Damn. Long story short, I' pretty sure I'll be able to go... yeah. I apologized like a thousand times and really maturely, so I'm not that nervous. Well, I think I'll write some fan fic tonight. Nothing much planned for the week. Except for WARPED TOUR IN 12 DAYS! THAT'S WHAT THE FUCKS UP. Jon's pretty excited to, ( Check It Out )

So, I'm going to Chicago for a few days in July because 1.] It's been my dream for years. 2.] I get to go to the Clandestine Landmark Store 3.] I get to go to Pete's house and 4.] I get to see The Hush Sound at the House of Blues! I am SO excited that I can hardly stand it. But before I go to Chicago, I get to go to Warped Tour for FREE with a VIP pass! I get to watch Cobra Starship from ON STAGE!! And I get to be backstage before they start, so I'm bringing them some presents and shit. I screamed when I found out! Some other things I'm excited about are that 1.] I won a Panic at the Disco hoodie on ebay, and it should be here soon. 2.] I'm ordering a Clandestine hoodie today along with my plane ticket to Chicago. 3.] My dad's been in such a GREAT mood lately, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna let me splurge at the Clandestine store, and prolly let me get some merch at the Hush Sound concert.
So basically, my life is pretty freaking sweet.
