Blossoms in a cup
I'm here to tell you the story of The Hush Sound concert. To make a long story short, I was first in line at 4:00 [although I had been waiting since 10:00 AM] and made a few friends in line. The girl behind me was taller than me by at least five inches and she was 12. Yeah. Her name was Stephanie, I think, and it was her first concert. So we got in first, and got right on the barricade, center stage. Chris' Dad's band, Ziptang, opened for all the bands. They were really... funky... Sounding, not smelling or anything. I can't really say who they sounded like but they were cool. Then this band called The Morning Light came on, and I didn't like them. Sorry. But I didn't. Then the Cab came on, and they were refreshing. I like their sound more than I did the last time I saw them. Finally, after waiting for weeks and weeks, THE HUSH SOUND CAME ON! It started off with Greta switching on a small lamp on her keyboard and playing Intro, very slowly, very quietly. Amazing. So the show went on. Bob and I must have looked at each other for half the show. I have never been more sure of anyone looking at me during a concert since Danger Radio, when Spencer told me he WAS looking at me. It was an awesome feeling. Eventually the show was over, which was sad, but I had an amazing time and felt very much a part of the music scene that night.
